Job Description

GDIT is looking for a Senior Project Task Analyst to support the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and the Practice Improvement and Measures Management System (PIMMS) programs. These programs provide services to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to manage the quality measure and improvement activities selection process for the MIPS implementation.

MIPS promotes better care, healthier people, and smarter spending by evaluating eligible clinicians (in the outpatient setting), using a final score based on submitted data that incorporates the eligible clinician’s performance on Quality, Cost, Improvement Activities, and Promoting Interoperability.

The Senior Project Task Analyst is responsible for providing information technology support and services to project teams in support of MIPS. They will need the skills to review/update program, policy, and data checks in developing and maintaining measures for a national quality initiative.

This position will assist in serving as liaison between customers and application development for purposes of ensuring accurate implementation of the measures and policies through rule-making and other standard processes. They will also need to assist with implementing new processes and standards, as needed.

HOW A SENIOR PROJECT TASK ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Designs, develops and performs quality checks on product documentation for improvement activities, changes/updates and routine correspondence with customers which may include hard copy, on-line or internet/intranet-based modules.
  • Reviews documentation created by clinical and non-clinical staff for accuracy.
  • Assists with the preparation of training materials and conducts training as needed.
  • Partners with other teams in reviewing requirements, specifications, automation options, testing, support, quality assurance and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives and standards on projects.
  • Works with business analysts to reviews/edit business requirements.
  • Serves as a resource expert for external customers utilizing policy-related knowledge and expertise to research and resolve issues in a timely manner and customers’ satisfaction.
  • Researches and produces ad-hoc narrative reports and option papers with minimal turn-around time and with a high level of accuracy.
  • Summarizes legislative rules which impact program outcomes when applicable.
  • Functions as an analyst by reviewing, drafting and following rigorous, policies and procedures that have been thoroughly researched.
  • Performs detailed monitoring activities for improvement activities alongside data analysts and provides findings to the customer.
  • Advises customers regarding potential challenges in implementation of improvement activities.
  • Serves as liaison between project teams and customers by providing technical expertise pertaining to the development, implementation and maintenance of specific software applications, reporting systems and databases.
  • When appropriate, prepares for and facilitates meetings for customers and other contractors, including agenda preparation and production of minutes.
  • Advises submitters on improvement activity content and any issues as it pertains to the national quality initiative and other stakeholders.
  • Provides recommendations and materials for customers related to national outreach and education.
  • Verifies and analyzes report data when appropriate.
  • Understands 508 compliance and applies principles to written documents to be posted to the web.
  • Reviews health care data technical specifications (i.e., QRDA, HL7, XML, etc.) for compliance from a technical and clinical perspective.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BA/BS Degree 5+ year’s relevant experience or equivalent in experience, certifications, technical aptitude.
  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Process Improvement including Lean and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance.
  • Scrum Master.
  • Experience with government contracts, improvement activities and/or MIPS.
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Human-Centered Design.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Design thinking, service design, experience strategy and strategic foresight.

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust, which includes a residency requirement to have lived in the US 3 of the last 5 years.
